tried closing # 170613 today.

Got the gears animation suggesting something was happening. Gave it a few minutes before I concluded nothing had happened. Ticket status did not change.

Chrome browser, Mac OSX 10.7. This has happened to me before with other ticket on other browsers. Please confirm whether this is a known bug or whether other information would be helpful.

    Same issue with

http://www.seeclickfix.com/issues/179764 and others of mine. Seems to be ones that have been acknowledged by the City of Toronto 311. Are they the only ones that can close issues ?

Have tried on Itouch, Explorer and Firefox, seems not to be a platform issue.

    Good Afternoon,

Thanks for your message. Acknowledged issues actually can only be closed by the user that has acknowledged them; so in this case the city of Toronto. It seems like that may be the source of your problem. Are you having this problem with issues that are not acknowledged?

I'm happy to help you with this or anything else related to SeeClickFix moving forward, so just let me know if however I can be helpful.

So can we somehow change this so that the person that reported can also close the issue. I doubt City of Toronto will ever mark anything closed.

    Good Afternoon,

At this time, we're not planning to enable the user who reported the issue to be able to close an acknowledged issue. However, you can adjust your email settings by clicking on 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of one of the emails that we send you if you'd like to stop receiving updates about an issue.

Additionally, if you take a look at the Toronto issue page, you can see some of the issues that have been closed, which are the blue dots: http://seeclickfix.com/can_toronto/issues/hot

Please let me know if you have any other questions about this or anything related to SeeClickFix.

253 Acknowledgements and 0 issues closed by Toronto Open311.

Emails I don't mind, not being able to close an issue, priceless
