Time out issues with translation modules
Over the week-end, and today again, I have had repeated
time-outs in the translation module.
Here is the error message I get in 2 out of 3 attempts at opening a
new page in the simple page module or when saving translations:
504 Gateway Time-out
The server didn't respond in time.
Could you fix this?
Damien

Hey Damien,
Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure what is causing this. I'm going to pass it along to our tech team so that they can address it. I'm sorry for the disruption of your translating work.

Hi Kevin,
This seems to have been solved: I have just been able to translate the remainder of the fields recently added to the translation module without having this issue again.

Your Baby Can Read is surely an early language development system for infants and preschoolers. Based on the exploration of Dr. Robert Titzer, the DVDs employ whole reading and several phonics to help little ones learn language patterns while in an optimal time any time their brains are developing rapidly and they are intensely focused on getting your hands on language patterns.
According to Dr. Titzer, babies can learn this patterns of written language in the same way naturally and easily while they learn the patterns of spoken language. Often though, babies are not exposed to enough written language due to this learning to occur. The Your Baby Can Read! system contains five DVDs which might be focused on helping babies and kids up to five years old be able to read by giving these a multi-sensory experience with heavy contact with print.
I've been seeing the infomercial for that Your Baby Can Read program and are very intrigued! But I'm never the sort to just jump for the phone and order what intrigues me. I did some quick research and review some reviews - and also the result is mixed.
While it's great, and proven, that the children ordinarily have positive results, "reading" words and recognizing what there're, but then I wonder whether or not it's actual reading or merely memorization. And even I have discovered The Hurried Child by simply David Elkin. I've never actually read the book, but I've learned regarding the results/outcome of his book in several courses throughout my education, K-12 and Uni.
The Your Baby Can Read program is founded on the fact that your infant uses associations to discover new things. It will show them what your message looks like, show them a picture of the word in action, and let the child hear the sounds in the word in action also. So using the feels of sight and sound, your child is staying entertained by seeing the many pieces come together.
Ever wonder why kids can learn a whole new language MUCH faster than you possibly can? Their brains are just tailored for learning language superior to ours at that age, and there's no explanation to stifle that. My kids are competent to excel in their schools because we started at this kind of early age, and this makes fewer severe headaches for me in looking to help them with their homework.
I have seen the Your Baby Can Read infomercials hundreds of times, but I was anxious to utilize it myself with my own toddler to see the results.
I must admit, the Early Learning Workshop DVD that accompany the program, which you are encouraged to see before beginning this program along with your child, is VERY overwhelming. It is long and unless you have a great attention span (I do not) you may well skip the DVD, read the Parents guide and just get started.
