I want to change something about an issue after I reported it.

Congratulations! You just reported an issue. As soon as you saw the issue, your sense of civic engagement kicked in and your rushed to your phone/computer and filed it as quickly as you could. You hit the "Report" button and paused for a moment to pat yourself on the back...before realizing that not everything went quite right. Maybe you put in the wrong address; maybe you left out an important detail; maybe it's just a simple typo that's going to nag you in the back of your mind if you don't fix it. Whatever the reason might be, don't worry! Fixing it is a cinch, and it will only take a second.

A few seconds after you sent the issue in, you should be getting an email with a subject line like this:

[SeeClickFix #XXXXX] Thank you for reporting your issue

In place of the X's would be a unique five-digit ID #. Open that email up. It should look something like this one:

Towards the end of the email, just before we say "Thank You," we tell you that "You can always update the issue here."

Click the link in the word "here" and it will take you to a page like this:

From here you can change whatever you like about the issue: where the marker is displayed, the address, the summary, the description, your name & email, and how often you are notified. You can even upload a picture if you forgot to do that the first time around (though, of course, you can upload one through a comment as well).

And that's all. We appreciate the effort you're making to improve the community, and it helps everyone else involved for your reports to be as detailed and as accurate as possible. Happy Clicking!
